Barbie stars as Genevieve, A princess with 11 sisters named Ashlyn, Blair, Courtney, Delia, Edeline, Fallon, Hadley, Isla, Janessa, Kathleen and Lacy. Each princess is gorgeous and different. The 12 sisters have one thing in common. They all love to dance. They live in a castle with their widowed father, King Randolph. King Randolph love his daughters very much, but at time can not understand them and feels that they should act more like perfect princesses. The girl's daring and free spirited natures are viewed as "unladylike" and "un-proper" by other members of the royal society.  Often leads them to make ill-mannered comments about the princesses. The both discourage and hurt King Randolph. Believing his daughters need a women touch. The king order his cousin, Duchess Rowena to the castle to help raise them. Duchess Rowena has her own plans. Which includes getting clever of Randolph and his daughters. So she can take over the kingdom.
